Join me for a FREE session on Refining Facial Features, where we’ll continue developing our portrait step by step!
In our previous session, we explored how to block in the portrait, establishing the main shapes and overall structure of the face. This time, we’ll take the next step and focus on refining one of the facial features we’ve already blocked in.
Through a live painting demonstration, I’ll show you how to use paint to develop form, refine values, and introduce details that bring greater depth, dimension, and realism to the feature.
You’ll gain a better understanding of how to move from the initial block-in towards a more developed, convincing portrait, while learning to observe the subtle relationships between light, shadow, and form.
The session is completely FREE, and the REPLAY will also be available for free to everyone who registers.

(Don't worry if you can't attend, you can still register and I'll send you the replay of the class)

HI, I'MÂ
I am an emerging artist with a love for emotion and its visual expression.
My painting journey started in childhood, being mentored by the late Charles Cassar right into my late teens.
My fascination with the human form remained a constant and manifested itself into painting portraits with a particular focus on the emotional state. In my personal work, I attempt to capture a specific facial gesture, with the aim of using the imagery to transfer a mood, a message, or even a feeling.
I spend most of my time in my home studio, painting portrait commissions and expanding my personal body of work, exploring how human expression can be received and interpreted, versus how the subject intends to communicate its emotion.

The live webinar will last approximately 1.5-2 hours.
This is a demonstration rather than a paint-along session, so there’s no need to prepare your materials or paint along with me. Simply find a comfortable spot, bring your curiosity, and get ready to explore the process of refining facial features in portrait painting!
All key information will be shared, and a replay will be sent afterwards, so you can revisit the material and apply it at your own pace.
You'll find the reference image and the supply list links in the buttons below!
